Peace gear

Hey all. I'm looking into trying to get this type of growl to my gear.
I know that this guy uses Pearce preamps and so I'm looking into them. I found a Pearce GC1 guitar amp for sale. Does anyone know if I would be able to use this as a pre? I know really nothing about this Pearce gear so any info would be nice to point me in the direction of some.
Thanks all,
Jim.

The only G1 original prototype was moded by Dan Pearce for Billy Sheehan in 1979. He still has it in his rack today!!!
Later Dan Pearce offered the BS mod factory installed for the BC1 model.
The only G1 I´ve seen with the Sheehan modification were either custom made (following the original shematics) or some special request models of G1´s shortly before the second generation run of production: the G2r guitar head, G2x preamp and the B2p bass head.

The guy you see in the video, had his G1c guitar preamp custom modded to the BS specification by his fellow technitian.
You can find this documentation at the Pearce website.
