PEAVEY 215BW BASS CABINET

I had one that I loaded with EV's .....sounded great. I would agree with others though that a set of BW's would be great as well. Peavey stuff is quite under rated.
I had an old Mark IV head that would go down to 2 ohms so at one point I had this cab with a Peavey 4x10 on top. (yeah I know, overkill, but it was the 80's!!!)

Well I have finally started working on restoring my bass cabinet and here are the pictures.

As you can see in the first and second picture, the little jack plate was later made to house the two jacks.

I can't belive they did that to this cab...the original indivial jack ports look so much better. I will throw away this plate and buy the original single jack ports.

In the rest of the pictures you can see that the glue didn't come off that easy, I will remove it a heatgun and sand paper, the latter will also come in handy when I ad the filler in the cracked wood.

Suggestions, Advice or Comments?

I would replace the handles, put in some BW in it, get a solid jack on the back, paint it black and roll with it. Oh and probably when putting in the new speakers and jack run some heavier gauge wire in it. Although some dont think it makes a difference, since your there and its a very cheap up grade, you might as well do it.

Hello all!

I have recently bought a Peavey 215bw Bass Cab from a friend (who didn't take care of the cab). It's kinda beat up and I plan to make it a special proyect so I can restore it.

The only thing is that I cannot find any information or manual of sorts on this cabinet.

If any one can help me out I would really appreciate it.

I will constantly post pictures as I go with the proyect.

you might want to install t nuts for speaker mounting and stop the erosion around the existing screw holes
