Does anyone know what king of joinery Peavey uses on their cabs? I've been wanting to build an extention cab for my TNT-115 combo. The goal is to mimic the speaker in the combo exactly. I plan on using the same speaker (a 4-ohm Blue Marvel 15") in an identically sized and ported cabinet (minus the area for the installed head of course) and I can't tell what what kind of joints are used to put it together. I have no desire to tear off the tolex from my nearly mint TNT to find out. I've searched eBay to see if someone is selling an old beat up Peavey cab to see if a ripped up corner or side could reveal anything, but I've had no such luck.
I know I could just buy an extention cab, and I have in fact done this in the past, but every extention cab I try changes the sound, so I end up selling it off. I just want a bit more of this exact sound. I'm in need of a new woodworking project and I want this to be my next one.
