Peavey Fury vs Peavey Forum

I have the first generation Fury. It's really a T-20 with a few changes. I bought it on a whim but it's now my go-to bass when playing out. Even though it is only a single pup, that slant Super Ferrite.... I LOVE the sounds I can coax out of it.

The spacing is narrow, but the neck is chunky like a Stingray 5 or a Spector. For some reason, narrow spacing and thick necks work better for me than narrow spacing thin necks like Ibanez Soundgear Basses.
Good to know, thanks!

Moderately narrower string spacing at bridge I can deal with, but narrow nut spacing drives me crazy. Maybe my fingers are just too long. What I really like is wider nut spacing (like a P-bass) but a more shallow, flatter back of the neck. It's not something that's really common, but my Carlo and my 90's MIM P-bass have it and I love it.

Do you happen to know how deep and thick the back of the neck is on the Forum 4 string? The 1.7" nut sounds ideal to me.

Very nice!
How do you find the balance? I had and gigged a Ferrite Fury for a while, but it was pretty neck-heavy and I liked the sound of my P-bass a bit more. It's a very cool instrument though, with it's own take on the "P thing".

I the four string active Forum with one big humbucker would sell for you, they are just rare.

If it's the active Forum 4 string I get 0.86" at the 5th rising to 0.96" at the 12th. The nut is 1.66" not a sweet 1.7" like my T-20 :)
That seems pretty nice, though as Doc Cheese says, they seem pretty rare.

I really don't need another bass, but I'll keep my eyes out anyway if one pops up locally. I have a buddy who wants to play bass and it would be nice to have a bass I could loan out...
