Peavey Fury...

I have a 1972 Fender P Bass and two Peavey Furies - a spit P and a Super Ferrite. I'm assuming you want to compare the spit P ;)

Tone wise, the Peavey isn't exactly the same, it's a bit more "modern" sounding. But there is a marked age difference between the two basses.

As far as playability, the Peavey has more of Jazz Bass neck than a P neck. Both basses are rock solid.

Price? A used Peavey is one of the best deals out there. Seriously. If you're more in to playing than just collecting, the Peavey is a fantastic deal.

Here's a link to an original tune I did with my split P Peavey Fury if you want to check out the recorded tone - Original Music Fury Bass Content

I upgraded the wiring and pots on my Fury.
I also installed an Original Fender 62 pickup.

It is the best sounding P bass I have played.

The Fury is the black one on the end,
