Peavey Logo Re-Design Contest

My kids live up your way. If "+1" means you're 22, then you're alright in belowmentioned dept. If it just means props for me being so durn nice and giving :hiding:, well that rawks as well.

I'll give ya a holler when I'm up your way. I'm W-A-Y down I-55 now. I'll need quite a few drinks by the time I get into town...within walking distance of my temp abode, of course.

"Visitation" is a humiliating thing, esp when it's not respected by the former SigO. Beer isn't.

PsyDoc, hey man the + 1 was definately props to you. Because trust me I'm way over 22. As you said give me a holla when up my way. Joe:D

Yep, that's what I wrote: Peavey's old logo screams "MERIDIAN, MISSISSIPPI, USA" and, besides, those constant logo-changes reflect an (unjustified) sense that there's some less-than-good history that needs to be superficially spruced up with a new logo. C'mon, that's what some automobile companies we know so well did before the roof caved in on them and many of the rest of us.

Exactly as I feel.

Hey Joe, where you goin' with that gun in yo' hand?

Good. 22-year-olds could be my kids if I stayed in 'tucky, no offense to that fine state. But it sure was a close call.

I'm well over that dubious early age too and don't miss it. Fond memories, though, drinking like a fish during those first years post-21 after gigs on the house and feeling like the hottest stuff, like a record deal was just around the corner.... Life was idiotic, but good, 'cause who knows s/he's a fool at that age?

Well, heck, +1 right back at ya. To me, messing with Mr Peavey's baby is akin to defacing a significant monument. Yeah. If that ticks anyone off, y'all just take 10 deep breaths, not forgetting to exhale deeply in between. Kindly don't upset this country doctor. Thank you.

Let's start an Old Peavey Logo Club! I'm a member of all of 'em clubs anyhow, given that I can't seem to penetrate what appear to be some cliques (relax, boyz n' girlz, I wrote "seem").

:spit: I've got Mississippi kin who died fighting in the War Between the States. They were dirt poor immigrants from Europe is all: All they knew was that men in blue were shootin' at 'em and settin' their houses on fire. So, to me, this is also a personal thang. See, Peavey is a product of the NEW MISSISSIPPI, and it's not just Texans who demand not to mess with their state and anythang within it. Long Live Peavey in Meridian, smack-dab in the middle of the Great State of Mississippi, the Most Southern Place On Earth. Leave it alone. It's come a long way and still workin' on it.

And, Yanks, the New Mississippi is so different than the old one that numerous African-Americans are leaving the North for the Magnolia State; turns out it's nicer than various high-latitude states. Go figure, huh? The Times They Have a'Changed, and more change is on the way. I'm very pleased about that and so should you. But no change is on the way to Peavey. It'll break my heart if that cheesy logo sticks around.... It's time for me to plan a road-trip to that Blessed place. Springtime in the South is just right for that!

How about this?

Yep I like that one for sure. I think that if you saw it you would know what company it
was without even reading it. It's like the Aguilar logo. You just know it's Aguilar, you don't
have to read it. Companies like Accugroove and Epiphani have very forgettable logos.
Other than the 6th and 7th one I think the others would be easy to over look. Still great
ideas though. I guess a logo should be more of a symbol than a word.
