Peavey Logo Re-Design Contest

I'm one of the ones who actually likes the logo. But I thought I'd throw a few out there for fun.

I love the original pointy logo like my T40, Dynabass, 85 Foundy, and my 210TX combo has. My 115 black widow cap and my Foundy5 have the blocked horizontal logo and that just seems so sad to me. They need to go back to the original logo. Thats the logo that is associated with them the most IMO.

...I just shook my head when they switched back, that old pointy logo cheapens the whole brand, IMO...

I humbly disagree. The original pointy logo just screams Peavey IMO and should never have been anything else. Its a very killer looking logo and when they changed it, it made them look cheap in my eyes. Hey everyones different. ^_^

And they did switch back to the pointy logo???? Where the hell have I been? I didn't know that. I need to get a pointy logo plate for my cab then....:D

weird that I was just thinking about the two Peavey logos and how they should change them.

I like those debassr and senorblues draw. I like that one by gord_oh too, but it's kind of hard to read. Maybe if you changed a few lines.

Call me an old fart but to me, this is classic. Straight Old-School.

Yeah, that old logo screams "PEAVEY" and it screams "MADE IN MERIDIAN, MS, USA" and other good stuff.

Plus tradition is important in an instrument-line: You change the logo and you communicate the message that "we want to divorce ourselves from our dubious past." That's how it seems to me.

Ah, my first REAL combo was a mid-80s Peavey TNT, pre-black-widow. Heck yeah it had that jagged ol' logo and I'd hate to see it in the relic section of music stores.
