PEAVEY Mark III vs Mark IV

The 70s era Peavey Bass head had a "Slope" control in the master output section. It was described in the manual as an "extreme low frequency roll off." I would guess that was some sort of HPF of the time?
Yes, it was an early form of HPF, even more crude than the crossover method since it was simply a first order essentially passive filter.

All companies evolve their designs over the years, we have seen 4 generations of low frequency control in these Peavey designs.
