Got mine in last night! Can't play in my building (stupid lease rules) but looking forward to seeing what it does with the rest of my music mates.

BUT you've at least tried it out with the headphones feature, right? I plug in my Android ph in Aux In, headphones in front and practice away. That is a very nice looking Avatar cab. I ran my mM1000 thru my Avatar TB153 this past Friday's gig w/my new MIM Fender ADJ-V. Pretty awesome sounding.
But of course - sounds great! I'll test drive the head/cab for a show on Thursday - fortunately, it's a low-key show so I'll be able to tweak as I play.
I tweaked the heck out of my mini-mega at home for almost a full week before my first gig with it. I ran it thru a few different bass cabs with a few different basses. I tried all of the buttons and dialed the knobs left n right for a lot of different, very useable tones. I like best for gigs with my BF Big Twin-T and a couple different jazz active/passive 5ers or my Am St P5 w/nylon tapes. Just really sounds awesome with all my gear.
And even at low volumes, the mM1000 gives a lot heft to all the notes. I'm really digging this amp a lot so far.

Can anyone tell me how loud the fan is? What would the fan be like in say a quiet living room? Thanks!

I have it connected to a LDS 1x15 Cab.
I play Spector basses exclusively and it sounds incredible.
It has exceeded my expectations through the speaker and connected via DI into my PC as a preamp.
Regarding the fan. it is way less noisy then an Ashdown head I was previously using.

Just a question. Some amps will shut down and some are more tolerant. Not a big discussion, just curious.
I've owned the d800, mb800 and magellan 800. The mb800 had the best feel, the magellan the best eq and the mesa had the most slam but, none really "did it for me" compared to my carvin 3800lx and svpcl preamp.
I get the feeling that I would probably get the best eq from the mini mega along with great slam but, the pre itself would probably be a little solid state. I found the mesa to be very solid state and the magellan a little less.

How does this relate to sub 4ohm compatibility?
I don't understand why people keep asking these questions. The manufacturer has declared it's minimum impedance and it's warranty coverage. If you want to know if "it won't die" then buy one yourself.
Asking others to try something that voids their warranty is incredibly inconsiderate.
Yes 2ohm compatibility is important, but this amp doesn't have it. Move on. Or write Peavey a concerned email and see if the next one will.
It will activate the output overload protection.
I've been playing around with my new MiniMega for about 2 weeks now, and am super impressed with this thing. I'm not using many of the bells and whistles, but I find the default voicing and EQ options to be super useful and REALLY flexible.
Oh, and it gets absurdly loud. Whatever this thing's headroom limit is, I've not gotten close to it yet.
What sort of protect-the-speaker high pass filtering is going in in this thing? My woofer doesn't seem to be bouncing around in strange ways, so I'm assuming there's something in there handling this.

Just checking in on this thread as I've been loosely watching it for a while. I'm interested how this compares to the other 'heavyweight' class-D amps out there. My dream rig would be one of Mike Arnopol's MAS cabs and a Mesa 400+ (currently using a 400 at my church) but for hauling around a class-D would be the way to go. The ones I've tried (local to me and not many of them) have left me unimpressed. I like the authority of the 400, the deceptively powerful watts of a Trace Elliot, and the kick of GK. Seems to me it's like the never-ending discussion of how to get that tube sound with SS. But ergonomics may prevail this time and my next amp might be class-D. Soooo, I'll have to read more as someone may have posted this compare already.

Geez, man, he didn't throw your mom under the bus. He just asked a simple question about this amp actually works, versus what the spec sheet says. I'm sure he's not the only one wondering and it's perfectly reasonable to ask, thinking that maybe someone has already tried it and can report. Or, that someone how KNOWS might respond...
What does that actually mean? Does it completely shut down? Continue playing with reduced output? Shoot warning sparks out the top? ET phone home and void your warranty over the Intertubes? ;-)
Sure my response was a bit harsh but I think well respected members such as @kringle77 should help to influence people about safe practices with their equipment instead of suggesting they attempt to break them.
A good portion of threads in this forum are "how to do things correctly and safely ”.
I feel like it's genuinely important to NOT imply users should do things against manufacturer's recommendations.
I get the idea that sometimes in some usage some cabinets may have an average impedance above their nominal, so that it might work out. Except for the condition it doesn't work and some poor bassist is looking at a broken amplifier and has no recourse.
It's our responsibility to make sure people don't kill their equipment doing foolish things. If you don't agree I get that. It's just IMO irresponsible to suggest people to do unsafe things at no risk to yourself.
Any Internet Troll can get a rise out of a community and get banned for some flippant text, but foolish practices are constantly recommended and suggested at no risk?
Somebody needs to speak up and disagree if for no other reason than to make users think twice.

It's not my intention to slam kringle he's contributed much to this site.
My intension is to have a conflicting and cautionary point of view every time anybody suggests ignoring manufacturer's suggestions.
