Peavey Question

Okay perhaps screw the strat-bass idea....

I now have the opportunity to pick up a lefty Peavey Millenium BXP for retardedly cheap. It's one of the Milleniums that has that really cool orangy/striped finish!

However, I will NOT buy it if it's made in Vietnam for personal reasons. (Because of my father. He lost way too much there.)

When did Peavey start making basses over in Vietnam? Is the Millenium BXP one of the basses they make there? The owner of the Millenium said he's had the bass for over two years if that helps...Sorry I don't have the serial number...

The bass should be marked somewhere with the country of origin. Start by checking the back of the headstock.

some were Korea... some Indonesia... some China... some Vietnam

Or if going patriotic, a USA Millenium is a much nicer bass at a great value price.

I've only seen Millennium BXPs made in Indonesia and China.

IIRC - BXPs were made in Vietnam, with the standard Millenium series being crafted in Indonesia or Korea. Again, checking the headstock for country of origin is the way to tell for sure.

As for the finish, I'm assuming you mean it's quilted maple.
