Congrats. My current T40 is 10.1lbs. Pictured is my first T40 and was the lightest i have owned. I stupidly sold it.

Now that’s a couple of out-there beauties.
All things being equal, I'd say the white. It's a relatively uncommon color (especially with a RW neck), and if it's in good shape the color would definitely be a selling point. The only thing that would recommend the natural one would be if it were an early '78 with an intact OHSC, both in good condition, although some folks prefer the toasters. Or maybe if it were a '79 with the transitional Fender-style OHSC. 3TSBs are rather common too, even with the RW neck.
All 3 have original chainsaw type cases. The natural is a ‘79. The white and burst are both from ‘82. The white sounds amazing, I haven’t played the burst enough to know. But, the burst is in better condition and made of ash. And I believe the white ones are poplar. I would think ash would be more appealing to the masses.

Might want to get that wall mount signed off on by a structural engineer. Those T-40s are heavy
Does anyone have a link to the tool needed to adjust the truss rod? Other links I’ve found on here have been dead.
Look for a Les Paul (Gibson) 5/16th's wrench. These should work. Some styles you may have to grind the heel a bit.

Took the T-40 recording on Wednesday evening. I don't get many chances to record, but when I do I always take the T-40. Had a pretty good few hours "live" recording a few country tunes for Tall Paul.
Unfortunately I had just gotten a big cut on my right middle finger so I alternated between the Claw and First-and-Third playing styles.

T-40 related.... I also posted this in the US Peavey thread. I picked this T-45 up today for “a song”. Someone that can’t work on a bass would have ran from it LOL. The bridge is in rough shape but may be salvageable, if I can de-rust/free up the saddle height and intonation screws. Neck has lots of mojo, but looks straight and problem free. I’ll know more when I inspect the truss nut. The frets looked great and weren’t even tarnished or yucky! Body has tons of finish dings and someone either sanded the front dull or sprayed it a flat black.
I will have a lot of fun making this thing pretty and usable again.
Tall Paul? Is that the same Tall Paul that I have seen playing all over my neck of the woods in east TN?

swung into Dan's Guitars today and witnessed a stunner in natural with maple fretboard, this blondey was virtually new WOHC, all the metal was bling with a body of outstanding grain and black guard. it had the tight gap truss rod issue. the lucky owner may become a tb member to hopefully relay his tale of being GIVEN this gem.
Somehow I've never come across this club! Here's my T-40, bought it from the original owner 8 years ago. It came with the OHSC and a Peavey Combo 300 for $550.
