Just be careful, that's not a speaker with high power handling. The TH-350 is capable of destroying it without much effort if you aren't careful.
IMO, the speaker matches the TNT amp well, my documentation shows that's the original speaker in the standard version of the amp. There were several versions over the years however.
What if I wanted something better matched with my TH350?
Yours may be pre Scorpion built. Mine definitely had the Scorpion. Said so on the tag on the bottom of the cab. It was either the Black Widow or Scorpion during the time I bought mine.Just found this on the Peavey forums:
“The 70777... is a Peavey part number, the 67-xxxx is an Eminence date code, and the 15454 is Peavey code for 15" 4 ohm 54 opince magnet. No other company would print those particular numbers on a speaker.”
Don’t know much else about it. Hopefully it sounds good with my TH350 head.
IMHO, start saving now, so when the times comes you can buy a cab that is lighter and better suited to the TH350. Sure you could go through the trouble of modeling different drivers to see what might work half-way decent in the TNT cab, but you would still be left with an extremely heavy kludge.
There are so many bargain cabs out there. People all went lightweight and even regular sort of medium weight cabs are cheap cheap cheap.
What are some other good sources other than CL, Reverb, eBay, and TB?
Facebook marketplace has been very good for me selling and buying. If you do the Facebook thing...What are some other good sources other than CL, Reverb, eBay, and TB?
