I'm not at all saying the TNT130 was a bad amp, I'm just saying it was a much lower product in the lineup than the Combo 300 and as such, is worth less.

Considering there has only been one (1) 80's vintage aluminum dustcap 1502-8 Black Widow in eBay's completed listings (and it sold for $214.50), then perhaps it would be stupid to not narrow down your search to the exact speaker model and vintage we are referring to?
That there is mostly a museum piece. The only thing spectacular about that particular amp is the condition it’s in for how old it is. You can find a louder, lighter, more versatile combo amp for as much as half off that amount. It’s out there.

Don't get that amp. Trust me, it isn't 1000 watts, it is junk IMO. Bugera is just one of those brands that use a fancy Italian name but it is a very bad amp that gets off on having a low price and falsely claiming it can output 1000 watts. Not to mention it is way more complex but as you get into cab building watts do matter but sizing of your cabs is a bit more key. Hence why brands like Phil Jones, Barefaced are expensive but worth it since they give quality and small footprint space for loud sounds.
Get a Fender Rumble for a gig 500 or the new 800 for a gig ready combo. Or just get any starter combo and research cabs or other more powerful combos down the line IMO.
For just practice, so many options these days from the new Markbass small combos, you name it, but I can say and defend the Fender Rumble 40 is a great combo for the price and size for a nice practice amp. Probably not gig worthy though unless you have a PA and a quiet band, but I see a lot of Rumble 200s in small bar settings, I would play it safe though and get the 500 even for a bar setting since it is nice to have the headroom, but with a PA go crazy!
I had one for a couple of years. Nice amp, no where near worth $450.
On my local Craigslist the vast majority of gear is overpriced. They expect you to offer less, but wow those prices are way to high a starting point on most.
I actually owned a Combo 300 in the 90s, and found it reliable, extremely heavy but I personally had trouble dialing in a warm tone. I’ve seen many of these for sale recently at far lower asking prices, anywhere from $75 to $200, so I feel the seller is asking far too much.
Go check out the amp.
If you like the sound and want to buy it, lift it by the top handle and (while holding it off the ground) start negotiating.
Your hand/arm will quickly tell you if the price to portability ratio is on target.

Like others have written, solid old amp in great shape but not worth $450. I'd be a buyer at $150
Brings back memories! I had the predecessor, a BW equipped Combo 260 back in the early 80s (parametric EQ, instead of multi band). I once did an outdoor gig with 2 other bands and all three bass players showed up with the same amp, so we stacked them into a pyramid. It was amazing, easily the best sounding system I had played through to that point and it filled the park. Used singly, mine did not have the same sound, and I always wanted to add a little more of "something" even though I still liked the amp. I also used to blow output transistors (ok maybe twice - our band was loud), and the repair shop didn't think so highly of them, even though I was bringing them business. They raved about my Acoustic 136 though, which I still have actually, but I would use the Peavey just as often if not more, because I liked the EQ.
Good to great condition: $250-300 tops. For $450-500 you could probably find an SWR head and a better 115 cab.

You're confusing the asking price with the sold for price tho, and you're also including the shipping in the price.
Also, is that the speaker in this particular amp? FWIR, the various Peavey combos used a few different variations of the BW speaker.
I had one back in the day, but it had a different preamp on it - otherwise pretty much the same thing. Heavy as hell, 80-90 lbs, hard to carry - could really use casters. Could probably survive a nuclear war. You'll need an extension cab to get the full 300 watts, and I didn't care for the sound and I'm not a fan of the DDT compression at all.
There was one on Craigslist here a while back(not in as good as shape tho) that sat for at least 6 months, and the dude was only asking $150 for it (I'm not sure if he ever sold it).
TBH, even for $150, there are better used options. I could see this being useful in a practice room or some other situation where it's not moved often (or at all), but the age and the lack or spare parts/repairability, the so-so sound, crappy DDT, etc. - I'd pass at anything over $100 for this amp, and at $450 the seller is smoking something for sure. I'd steer clear (as a side note, I'd steer clear of sellers like that in general as they are asking an extremely unrealistic price and IME sellers like that can be very difficult).

I love my old Peavey amps, but that is because they:
1. are cheap
2. put out plenty of power
3. just work
I second a newer Fender Rumble combo of your choice. Very lightweight, versatile, and reasonably priced. I sold my Rumble 100, but only because I just had too many amps. I can’t believe I said that. I still want more amps.

I had one and used it for several years. It was always reliable, and I beat on it like it was an anvil. This was played outdoors in Florida humidity a lot.
Several folks say this is "only" 90 lbs. I estimated it was more than that. Not kidding. I put casters on mine. I am a big guy and was fit at the time. I could get it out of the truck solo but usually had help getting it loaded. I have an ancient back injury and loading it solo usually meant I felt that later.
Pretty 2 dimensional sound-wise. LOTS of two dimensional sound ... it will play loud.
I jumped from that to a 45 lb Line 6 combo and never looked back, but by that time, we were running a line out of that to a PA with a ton of power.
