Pedal board issue

Hey!

Hope someone can help. I'm having problems with a splitter i've just installed on my pedalboard.

To simplify things I'll explain using just a couple of pedals

-I have an A/B switch
-A goes to an overdrive
-B goes to a fuzz
-Both channels then go into the Y splitter
-splitter goes to the amp

When any pedal is on, other channel goes silent.

But if I disconnect one input on the splitter and press on the pedal the other channel is not affected

Hope this is clear enough. Please help!!!

Nope, not clear enough. You should continue to use the good "A= overdrive" and "B=fuzz" example you started with. So say something like "when I disconnect the fuzz from the Y splitter, the overdrive does <X>" or whatever it is you were trying to explain. Make sure "splitter" and "A/B switch" stay consistently used throughout your description as well.

Ok, so



A/B switch

A-overdrive-
Splitter-amp
B- fuzz-

If any pedal is on, the other channel will go silent. For example if Im playing through channel A with the overdrive on and hit the switch to change to channel B, this channel will be silent. If i turn of the overdrive, the sound on channel B comes on

The same happens the other way around with the fuzz

Boss LS2, switch it to the A to B Mod, i did this for my pedalboard setup to switch between my overdrive and fuzz

Bizarre. It seems like a very simple setup that should work fine.

I use a EHX switchblade as an A/B pedal and it is passive. Never had a similar issue. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Do you have a pedal connected backwards? This happens in a single chain if you have input and output reversed.
