I had a TFR and a Civil War and that was my main problem with them both, I really prefer a blend with fuzz and mids help too. Hmmmm.....

I only really like a mids knob with fuzz. I could do without a blend.

I really don't care much for blend knobs because I run everything through my WP blender. A mids adjustment though, that helps a lot. The SFX Micro and the SGFX Imperial really shine with the mids switch.

Oh and, Fuzzes blend great with other fuzzes, distortions, or ODs...
I have an LS2 and used to blend fuzzes and also ise for clean blend, def makes for tones you cannot get otherwise. I would like to try a better quailty blender though. I got sick of lugging my PT Pro to gigs and bought a Diago Showman, love it cuz its much lighter but slightly smaller so I've had to thin the heard. I am starting to think a second board like some of you guys is in my future.

The rabbit hole of implementing midi control into my board is really making want to give up on the idea. All I want is a relatively small foot controller that will allow me to send for example PC1 on Channel 1 and PC33 on Channel 2 simultaneously by clicking only one switch. My goal is to control a SA hub and my bwhammy together. I really hope the new SA controller will do what I want.

If it's program changes, on channels 1,2,and 3, the DMC ones are capable of doing that using the presets.

So, the future for me is Kilobyte, Reflex, Flex(if the right thing can be worked out), and DOD Meatbox Reissue. Probably an mThump at the end of my chain provided it doesn't completely ruin my Meatbox's tone.

Oh, and patch cables. Lots of those. And a daisy chain to keep the pedals that like an isolated source isolated.

I made a thread about a long time ago asking if running my density hulk into a micro thump would be redundant/pointless/bad. Bongo replied saying that the speaker damaging properties of sub pedals are usually 30 and 60 hz. A limiter would do a better job of protecting your speakers from those frequencies. Results of running subs into a HPF will depend on the user and what they want to achieve. I never ended up buying a microthumpinator, and my density hulk has been on the shelf for a while so I never really figured it out.

I'm thinking really hard about the Kilobyte vs minifooger delay right now...

GO WITH THE NEW NEW OR THE TRIED AND TRUE TRUE?!

I'd go with the kilobyte. It seems to have that lofi industrial character you dig on.

:(

Why oh why did we ever have continental drift?!?!

Can we blame Earthquaker Devices for ending Pangea?

I think people see my p90 priced at $80 and think it's some one off cheapo thing, when that couldn't be farther from the truth. I just want to sell it..

Everyone on ilovefuzz is all like"nah man I'm not into phasers"

Raise the price to sell it quicker?

Let's see, today my old band(which I quit) contacted me asking if I could play a gig. Might actually do it but it's going to be a BCA MTF type of thing...zzzzzz.

Also with my current band I'm having trouble connecting with the guitarist. His tone is so bad(think super high gain, massively mid scooped with bass and treble boosted to the max) that I can hardly distinguish what he is playing. Hell his tone is so bass heavy that I've had soundguys turn me down thinking it was me crushing the low end. Also, he really can't stand it when I eq my bass to stand out in the mix or when I kick on some dirt or any effect really.

It's really a shame since the drummer and I play so well together(he is also the drummer in my old band). But I am really considering leaving this band too and just taking it easy on the band thing for a little.

Sorry for the rant, back to the pedals!

One of the guitarists I play with just picked up an 8 string guitar. We're not even a "heavy" band. It is a cool instrument alone but obnoxious in a mix. Fortunately he's still not comfortable enough to gig or write with it yet.

This is no joke. I've done this before with things (including pedals), and sure enough, it resulted in more interest. You price it too low, people think its junk. Unless of course any of you plan to sell excellent things to me, in which case the lower you price it, the better I'll understand that it is high quality, and the more I'll like it.

My old band has a 8 string player, I love jamming with him. Helps a lot that he plays through a diezel amp and cab. Sounds huge but leaves room for the bass.

Yeah, I think the DMC-3 XL Gen 2 is what you want for that.
I think a DMC-8d and a DPC-4EZ will be perfect for me. I can use the 8d as my main controller and the 4ez to control my dirt pedals. Plus the disaster area stuff will allow me to easily make new patches or changes on the fly. I'm going to contact them tomorrow with some questions and possibly place an order.
