I work for a financial company as the data administrator. I get to go to bed in the wee hours of the morning and wake up about the same,
and am on call for when bad things happen to any data processing.... but I love my job. I don't sleep between the job and dogs, but still.

I feel for you! I am a PACS administrator for a large health organization in illinois. I'm responsible for the Imaging and Cardiology systems. I love my job, but it's stressfull and I am on call a lot. My cube is large, but no windows either...lol. It's amazing how some of the system users can create new and interesting ways to F@#k things up at 3am.

I am senior graphic designer at the largest international distributor of u.s. sports nutrition products. Very random. Applied to this job as a joke when I wanted OUT of this ad agency and almost didn't show up to the interview because I don't care about the industry all that much (not hitting the gym every day / taking all the products). But here I am 2 years later, loving the in-house design lifestyle.

At the agency I was working 50-60 hours a week salary, 50 minute commute each way, was doing the grunt work (never got to do fun projects), insane deadlines and turnarounds and got paid peanuts.

Now I have flex hours, no crazy deadlines, don't put in crazy hours, pretty close commute and two years after I left the agency, I make double the salary I started at the agency.

Yes, all the...wait. Most of...no, that's not right. A few of(?) the things.

Here's the setup for Wakarusa this year! I'm already looking to change up a few things. Realized I have room for a bit more if I rearrange. I'm going to put the Mini HOF on top of the fDeck, put the DD-6 where the Mini HOF is (it fits, I checked), put the Moog MF Ring where the DD-6 is, and that leaves a nicely sized spot where the Moog currently is.

So Breeder Brothers, have any fun suggestions? I'm thinking of getting a dedicated Bitcrusher/SRR (probably the Red Panda Bitmap). I'd like to have expression control of the Sample Rate. Go from subtle fizzy buzziness to all out crushed. If I did that, I might get rid of the GCCI, or possibly get it modded by Will to have a blend knob so I can use it more easily as a crazy fuzz box. I don't have to many uses for crazy synth fuzzes anymore though because of my Moog Sub 37. Pretty much all my crazy synth stuff has gone to that. I was thinking of getting a dedicated envelope filter to get that classic Bootsy vibe (my Manta is used for 2 more extreme envelope settings). Any fun ideas?

Also, I did find out that the guys at JHS pedals are willing and able to mod my OC-2 to have a separate stomp switch to turn off and on the dry volume knob. So now my OC-2 is going to do what I've always wanted it to do. Pure sub octave, then with the press of a switch classic octaver setting! So pumped.

Oh and since it is becoming my mantra on here: Where is the damn Reflex?!

I'm a private equity investor and now work almost exclusively with Africa. We buy early stage (post revenue, pre-profit) companies, help them grow and then sell them down the line. We do social investing - so schools, hospitals, infrastructure, clinics, etc. Always thought it made much more sense to make my money doing one thing and keep the things I loved (music, recording, skiing, etc) pure. And it's worked out pretty well that way.
