I've been testing several configurations for my pedal board, but I'm not sure if this is the correct way to place my effects.

what do you think?

tuner > whammy > comp > filter > dist > flanger > delay > EQ > GT2 > amp

Now this may very depending on what you use for what. But that is what I would start with. Thats just me though. You could put you EQ after your tuner or right before your amp, experiment. See what sounds best to you and your setup. What kind of bass and amp n cab???

I have a Demeter VTBP preamp and then my GK700rb plus a 4x10 mesa boogie diesel cab.

I agree with gregmon79. Always tuner first, and I'd have the EQ before any modulation. As always, it come down to preference. I'd go slightly different with:

Bass > tuner > envelope filter > comp > whammy > distortion > EQ > GT2 > flanger > delay > amp.

I've always had success with the modulation running absolutely last and EQ in the middle. Please keep in mind I'm running light on the pedals these days with just bass > tuner > compression > boost > DI, so my opinion may no longer be valid

Stack them and see how it works! Let us know.

For you I would do Tuner>Whammy>Comp>Filter>Distortion>EQ>Flanger>Delay>GT2>Amp as a start and then experiment with the placement. Some like Compression towards the front if they use a lot of dirt. Some like compression after to clean things up. Also some like filter first because they get a more natural sweep. Some like it after dirt so it sweeps everything before it. As far as your EQ you have a couple options there as well. You can put your EQ after your dirt to level things out or after the modulation to add a little control over certain frequencies.

Personally I like modulation after my Delay so I can add modulation to my Delay trails. Sounds trippy.

depends on what your using the comp for, but I would go tuner, then comp, then eq. I use the comp mostly for keeping signal even, not for tone shaping or boosting though.

Hi, I finally tested one of the different configurations that you guys suggested, the one I tested was:

tuner > whammy > comp > filter > dist > flanger > delay > EQ > GT2 > amp

At the beginning, my sound was totally different, the first half hour I had to moved all the settings of my amp, my bass and everything!!!! a madness, I was not happy at all, but after find a good settings on my amp everything went perfect.

The whammy was like: OMG!!! totally better tracking, the modulation also, the only problem I notice was a terrible feedback when I turned on the distortion, any advice here??? I just couldn't turning on without a huge feedback, I tried with a small amount of volume in my bass and amp but nothing helped.

Also I added a extra pedal, a JMI Tone bender MKii , and it's a real beast, however I was reading some reviews and seems everybody hates these Tone bender's clones and also their constructors, does somebody knows why? IMO yes, I found a weak point, it's too noisy if you're not playing it's just insoportable....an awful hum and a lot of distorted noises came out from my bass just with a little touch of the strings.....this could be a mal function?
