Fishman Platinum Pro has a switch that gives you an adjustable amount of boost. Also, a pretty good EQ with notch filter, tuner, DI out and some other bells and whistles.Hi! Jazz musician here. When I switch from pizz to arco, arco is too loud. Is there a recommended pedal for this problem? Prefer a switch to a pot.
Thanks!
Upright Bass/Yamahiko Pickup/Clarus SL-2
I’ve had great success with all things volume with this thing:
Lehle Mono Volume 90 Volume Pedal
What’s cool is you can adjust one end to be right where you like you pizz volume and the other where you like your arco, so it’s really flexible and fool-proof. … but alas, expensive.
You can use a simple boost pedal to set your pizz level when on, and arco when off. TC Spark would be one such option as would the MXR micro amp. The Boss Ls-2 is also great for setting two different levels. Also works great for switching basses on doubling gigs. Keep in mind you would want some kind of buffer in front of any of these to prevent impedance miss match. There are also many preamp boxes intended for acoustic instruments that solve both of these problems. Grace designs makes various options, as does Radial

Platinum Pro EQ/DI Analog Preamp - Fishman
Seems like I saw a couple for sale in the classifieds here not too long ago.Good. I’ll get the Fishman. Thank you, Carl.
The ClarusSL is already a great preamp with an effects loop, any simple clean boost pedal (even battery powered) would be less spendy than the Fishman.
Totally missed that in the OP. Just get a simple boost and put it in the effects loop
