Pedal Train 2 question

Hey guys
Quick question regarding the Pedal Train 2.. what's the difference between the black 'Hard Case' and the silver 'Flight Case?' These things cost a FORTUNE here in Australia ($450 for one with the silver case), but I just found I can get one imported into Aus from Amazon for around $250, only catch being the silver one can't be shipped here so I had to go the black one. I'm sure it will be a huge upgrade from my Gator Pedal Tote, but just curious on the difference!

Check the ad - the black case they provide isn't a hard case, it's just a nylon zipper bag. It's fine if you are carrying the unit around in your car to gigs, but I would never have let mine go into a tour truck or underneath an airplane.

This isn't the soft case! I was going to just buy that one here (about $250 on the shelf) but this one is definitely still a hard case, just not the same one!

It might be the black one is an older model or something?

The older style hardcase at one point wasn't ATA but just a hardcase with cheaper hinges and fasteners. I think the black ATA case is just older stock. I believe all the new ones are now the silver models.

Ah I see, shame I can't import the better one then but still at $250 as opposed to $450 I can't really complain!

Man, i feel spoiled. I can get the PT-2 HC for $160. Its a great board, you wont be dissapointed!

I've got the silver case, lead guitarist has the black. the fasteners feel a little bit looser,but it's also a bit older. He hasn't had any problems. if it's really 250 vs. 450, my silver case does not feel 200 dollars better.
