When you buy a good unit, you're not buying ONE power supply. You’re buying a bunch of them, all isolated and regulated, with separate grounds. A one spot wall wart is a single supply (It’s much cheaper), the Voodoo Labs are all multiples. By the way, the Truetone multi supplies (big brother of the One Spot wall wart) are good, solid supplies worth consideration.

The Edison is one of those "had to have it the minute I saw it" pedals. Wouldn't be surprised if another found it's way to my home as well. Just lucky I happened to find one for sale a while back. I think a new batch are coming up on 11-30.
The Iron Horse tuner/ power supply combo is freaking ingenious. It makes so much sense. While I'm happy with what I have, I would have probably gone w/ the Iron Horse if I knew it was even a thing.
Yes, love a short/ sweet pedal board. Just the facts, ma'am. The Edison helps achieve that goal. The rest is in your hands.
I like the voltage flexibility of Cioks myself. My pedals change all the time, but my power supply hasnt.
I have a 1spot Pro CS7 for my bass board and a Walrus Audio Aetos for by guitar board. Both are great but I probably favor the CS7 for price and having voltage options.
I've had a VL Iso 5 for over 15 years and never had an issue. Unfortunately, you need to power 6 pedals but VL also makes the Pedal Power 2 Plus with 8 connectors. Highly recommend.
This. The isolation is why I ended up switching to one, once I got some pedals that did not play well together when daisy chained from a One Spot wall wart. I have two boards with two different power supplies now. My mini board uses a TrueTone CS6, which is one of the ones that micguy is mentioning. It's a great option on the less expensive end of the range if the pedals you need to support add up to 1.6 amps or less. For my other board, which is still small but has to support up to ~2.3 amps, I found a good deal on a Cioks DC7, which I love and which can support more current draw than I will probably ever need. It supports 660 milliamps per pedal at 9 volts, which beats anything else I've seen for such a compact unit.

I've had power supplies from Voodoo, CIOKS, MXR, & Strymon. Strymon wins for me based on amperage, smooth expandability, quiet operation, & light weight.
I have a Metro 20 on the way and have been scoping a DC5. Why would you not stick with it? Budget is my main reason I wouldn’t look at a DC7.

I have the CIOKS DC-10 powering Darkglass, Strymon and others with ease. No issues and the compact size is great! Plus the RCA style ends are outstanding and never pop out like others. I highly recommend CIOKS!
I just upgraded my power supply to a CIOKS Ciokolate and even with everything plugged in I’m still not close to using its max current draw. I don’t think there’s a pedal on the market that I couldn’t power now. It eliminated 3 wall warts and a mess of cabling that I had to use with my old power supply that (thankfully) had a three prong AC outlet on it.
Another vote for the Strymon Ojai.

CIOKS DC7 replaced my Voodoo Labs PP2+ because the PP2+ didn't meet my power draw needs for many pedals. A lot of pedals these days draw 300-500 mA.
Strymon’s power supplies are designed to power their pedals, which need a lot of power. If you have multiple Strymon pedals, that’s a big consideration. If, on the other hand, you have a bunch of pedals that don’t consume more than a Voodoo Labs power supply can easily put out, the Strymon supplies are overkill.
The RCA connectors are a pro and a con for me. Pro for that they are more durable and stay securely connected. Con for the fact that I make my own cables and the good RCA connectors worth a darn that can take the heat of soldering (Switchcraft) are $1.25/ea after shipping and tax, which is about double the cost of the standard 5.5mm connectors everyone else uses. However, another pro is that since they are bigger they solder easier and are fully made of metal. At the very least you are getting a higher quality with the increase in spending price.
Beyond that, I am extremely happy with my Ciokolate. There's no other company on the market who makes a power supply that's 1.5" thick and can power just about everything under the sun all by itself.
Thanks for all of the advice. I am assembling a Christmas list. Considering the power requirements of the pedals I listed in the OP, I will probably go with a CIOK of some variety. Since I have been playing for over 30 years and rarely use any of my pedals (mostly because of the current inconvenience), having a powered pedal board will help me explore these tools more carefully. I do not foresee having any additional power needs above what I listed. I find it funny that there are a number of great 5 (cheaper) or 8 (more expensive) 9V options. My sweet spot is 6. Five will probably leave me wanting. Eight is more than I will ever use and too $$. So that limits my choices to a couple of options.
