Thanks guys! It came together really well. I'm entertaining thoughts of a George L kit to clean it up even further, but after getting it put together, I'm not entirely sure it's necessary. After I took that pic, I realized that the patch from the B3k to the PWNZOR could go under the board, so now the only cable you actually see is the patch from the tuner to the Darkglass. Like Caeman said, having jacks on top does wonders for keeping things tidy.

G - I've only tried a couple other compressors, but the PWNZOR seems to be a pretty darn good one. I've always struggled with understanding the best way to use one, so I've gone back and forth with having one on my board or not. Compression shouldn't be overdone IMO, and I like this one because Spencer built it with a lower threshold range, a max of 10:1. It adds some nice presence/punch to my sound too.

Amped - You're right, I did try a Rusty Box and it just wasn't my thing. It was a great pedal, but it was a little too ... "unfeeling" and aggressive for my taste. I was looking for a little more warmth and color in a preamp, rather than just an EQ with an overdrive. (No offense to Rusty lovers!) I really dig the Tone Hammer because it has more warmth and just a little color (as opposed to a LOT with the Sansamps) that perfectly seasons my Jazz bass sound. The TH also has a DI and the Rusty didn't, which comes in particularly handy now that I've switched to in-ear monitors at church.

I think I know what you mean about the RB...

Thankfully, that's the tone I was after!
It does make me think that maybe having a warmer/mellower tone for church use might be beneficial....
perhaps I'll need a Mini #2 :hyper:

jk, its more like I need some help with GAS :help:

Getting the Mini put together and thinking on the George L's made me remember... I bought a Planet Waves kit a while back (like, last summer) that I ended up not even opening. So I figured what the h3ll, lets see what happens. I'm super happy with how clean it turned out. Not as clean as it would be with the George's, but high tech and cleaner than the cables and from yesterday. I think I'm going to wait on the Georgies for a while.

Just for kicks, here's some detail shots of the Mini with the new Pedaltrain cables.

The new Waves kit (guess they changed the plugs, the new ones are black):

A sneaky one to the Hammer:

...and the underside. I guess I could probably take a couple of the cable ties off now.

I don't know... Yours looks pretty clean too, considering it looks like you have most of a 1-Spot wound up in there!

that's what gets to me, I wish the cable wasn't so freakin long. I still feel there's some way I can bundle the cable without it bulging out from the bottom. but I'm gonna wait until I get my other pedals in before I even deal with that..

first world problems of mine :rollno:

Thanks! You're board is pretty sharp too, very clean as well! How do you like that Hall of Fame? I've wondered about those Toneprint pedals and how they work for bass. A guitarist friend has the Flashback...

5sg.

Thanks! I like the Hall Of Fame pedal, only using in a few tunes when some bass solo/slap happens especially when the bass is in the center :) For bass is perfect since it has the dry-wet pot also you can get the custom tone print setup, I like the Uriah Duffy tone prints for bass, used my iPhone app to load into the pedal, -- simple. Previously I had the Flashback and I loved that too, but this reverb works out better than the delay for my solos.
....things changed lately, pedal on sale at the classified.

I have a pedaltrain JR which i love, but picked up a nano for small stage gigs. Made a couple modifications so I could mount my DC Brick underneath (would prefer the voodoo P2 but it won't fit). Duct taped cleats to the back two posts which lets the DC Brick fit under and angles the board which is nice. Used velcro to mount the DC.

also used these brass pedal connectors which help me fit 5 pedals on the nano... the tuner and the philosopher's tone hang over the edge a little but there's enough velcro that they stay.
