Looks like a fun and funky rig!

Just got the Bass Chorus Deluxe to replace a TC Corona. If I'm not using the Envelope or Fuzz, I'll take them off and stack the Low Drive with my Fulltone Bass Drive.

Hey. How does the MXR Chorus compare with the corona? I'm using the corona now and my critique is that it he chorusing occurs in the high band of frequencies hence it's drown in the mix most of the time. I was hoping for a bass chorus which sits better in the mix. Is the MXR better?

Let me first say, I love to see all of your pedaltrain minis! Gives me tons of inspiration, and obviously tons of G.A.S. :hyper:

Just thought I should show you my idea for my own board. And I need some feedback and some answers. And who better to ask then you guys... So here it goes!
1. Will these five pedals fit on a pedaltrain mini?
2. Is that the best order to arrange my pedals, starting from right to left?
3. I am planning on getting a fuel tank jr. And the JHS Low Drive will work on anything from 9V to 18V. JHS says that it will get "more headroom and greater dynamics" on 18V. The fuel tank jr. has 5 isolated 9V outputs. So my question is this: If I use three of the outputs on the Sonic Stomp, the Boosta Grande and the Boss TU-3, that should leave two outputs available on the fuel tank jr.. Can I power the Line 6 reciever from the 9V output on the Boss TU-3 (like with a daisy chain, but only with a single cable)? And can I then use a cable like shown in the picture, that takes the two remaining 9V outputs and turns it into a 18V to power the JHS Low Drive? Looong question, i know, but hopefully you guys will understand what I am trying to say here...

So, let me know what you think!!! :D

Knuppe, unless you have the pedals already, it might better for you to pick up the new Shure GLX wireless, which has a tuner built in. You'd have one less pedal to power, and one more spot on the board for another pedal! Baring that you might get away with just a Nano then.
You could also look at the Godlyke Power Pump, which takes a 9v signal and steps it up to 18v (or 24v). That way you'd only use one spot on the Fuel Tank.
Hope that helps.

Looks like it.

It's difficult to be sure though until you get them and line them up in the order you're going to use them. Jacks between pedals always take up more space than you think. Anything from 0.5 inch (if you're really lucky with adjacent pedal jacks not clashing AND you use low profile jacks) up to 1.5 inch or more for standard right angle jacks that clash with the next pedal.

If you don't have the pedals yet, maybe get measurements from the websites, allow maybe 1 inch spacing and add it all up. 20 inches (or a tiny bit more) and you'll fit.

You might try this but it doesn't help you much with the spaces between the pedals.

Well, I think that my initial post wasn´t clear enough. I actually have all of these pedal on order. These exact pedals. I know that both of the BBE pedals have other older housings, but these are the ones i have ordered. But I cant find the widths for the BBE pedals in these specific housings, and I can´t find the width for the JHS Low Drive. The Line 6 and the Boss 8,175 inches. The Line 6 was 5,3" and the Boss was 2,875". Does anybody else have these pedals, and can tell me their width?
TorontoAlex, thanks for the tip! Wasn´t aware of that one. Kind of expensive, though.
But shouldn´t it be possible to power the Line 6 via the Boss? Or is there something that makes that a bad idea?

Also, any thoughts on question 2? :)

EDIT: Found out that the Line 6 requires 9V and 300mA. I think that 300mA is way more than the Fuel tank jr. can provide, am I right?

Hi guys, good to see those pedaltrain posted here, they inspire me, loved the minis :hyper:

OK, I need your help on this, I was planning to buy few pedals to be used in church and I want it to be on the pedaltrain mini too. Sometimes we do recordings for fun. So here's what I'm planning to use:

(this is my initial arrangement)

My questions:
1. is the arrangement ok or not? Please feel free to advice me.
2. will all the pedals and the power supply fit in one pedaltrain mini?
3. am I buying the right stuff or should I remove something?

Thanks much for your help. :bassist:

Quick update. I found out that the Voodoo Lab ISO-5 will be PERFECT for my pedalboard. So me and my carpenter friend (with power tools) will mod this thing together. Now just to wait for the pedals, the Hosa cables and the ISO and get this thing to happen. Will post pics as soon as things get together...

I literally just got it and placed it on the board. I'll play with it tonight and will have it for Tuesday night rehearsal. I'll post results. It really depends where you're wanting the chorus effect, though. The MXR is designed to retain "clean" low end and chorus effect on the upper registers, say low A or above. I use the Nathan East tone print on the Corona and I would say that would be true of that chorus effect, too. Are you competing with other instruments or effects that are in the same frequency range? That could be part of the issue, too.

I still have yet to yet the corona but would like to. I use to have the MXR BCD and thought it sounded pretty good. But when I got to practice it was completely drown out. I couldn't hear the chorus effect at all. I bought it to replace a boss CEB3. The boss is a very mellow chorus IMO but it could still be heard in the mix. I had problems getting the chorus or the flanger to come through. I traded my MXR in for a boss BF3. I'm happy I did. I like my choruses and flangers to be bright and pronounced. Something I couldn't get from the MXR. It is analogue after all right? I do think it sounded nice in my room though. I now use the TC vortex for flanger and the BF3 for a Chris type effect.

Order seems ok to me, at least to start with. I would experiment a bit, just to see how it sounds. Ex.: I move the GEB-7 just before DI.

I have no experience with a mini. As for adding/removing, someone is going to come up with the usual "needs moar fuzz" concept.

:p

Do you have those pedals already? If not, may I suggest a Korg Pitchblack or TC Polytune instead of the Boss tuner? The graphic equalizer I'm not so keen on, I think parametric equalizers do more for tweaking a bass sound, but it's not a bad pedal to have.

The order looks fine to me, but there's no single right or wrong, trust your own ears.

Good heads up there mate, I read some reviews after your post, i think I'll go with the TC, thanks much on this one...right now Im using the Boss TU-12EX tuner. :hyper:

I just got my mini setup last night and I am digging it so far. Fortunately, the T Rex Fuel tank Jr fits without modification if you shave the "nubs" off the power connectors. I used George L's and cable ties with the stick on mounting brackets to secure everything neatly underneath.
