thumbs up mate..very nice and clean. :bassist:

I just got my mini setup last night and I am digging it so far. Fortunately, the T Rex Fuel tank Jr fits without modification if you shave the "nubs" off the power connectors. I used George L's and cable ties with the stick on mounting brackets to secure everything neatly underneath.

Very niiice board ! I'm thinking about adding a VT Bass to my setup. Do you use the VT and BD together ? How do they play together ?

I use one or the other, but not at the same time. I pretty much use the bddi for the di function and have it set for a big round mid scoop sound (bass 1:00, treble 11:00, prescence 2:00, drive 10:00 and blend ~8:00). The VT is more of my go to to tone maker with low 1:00, mid 12:00, high 11:30, character 11:30, drive 10:30 and speaker sim engaged. At those settings, I can get the VT to cut through the mix and still have plenty of low end.

The only way I can get them to sound ok with them both on is with the blend on the bddi all the way off. I think the bddi still slightly (very slightly) colors the tone even with the blend dialed all the way down. So, I set the levels equal on each so that I can switch between the bddi and vt to get the two tones I need the most.

Thx!

I don't think it applies to all. From what I've seen there are two versions of the PT Mini, where the first version could have the Fueltank underneath, while the newer versions would have to be modded.

I think it may be the other way around with the old ones needing modification and the new ones do not. I could be totally wrong on that, but I just bought both new and was relieved to not have to modify.

I'm almost sure you're right... I have an older Mini and I'd have to look underneath to be 100%, but I think they redesigned underneath for the new ones in addition to getting rid of that back wall. I'm happy with my setup though (finally done after years of pedal exploration!), so it's cool. :)

5sg.

Cool! Thanks, man! I'll definetely get a Mini now that I'm sure I can fit a T-Rex FT JR underneath without modding.

Have you considered putting the Fuel Tank in the rail of the board to save space? I've seen some do it here.

I've seen others do that, but, I don't have a desire for any more effects at the moment. Everything I use fits, and fits nicely in the bag- which is good 'cause I'm always throwing it into my trunk for gigs! Also, pending on the pedal I would possibly need a different power supply to add it anyway- I already have one chained off the tuner, and the tuner can only power up to either 90 or 100 mA I believe, which can be a few pedals or only one or two depending on the current draw

My board is the older version (lip on the back end) and I had to have it modded to add a Fuel Tank Jr. underneath.

I never played one of those IE pedals (in fact, never seen one too), but they sure look tasty!

Tasty they are, especially when grouped together because they work best with each other. I can imagine they are not to everybody's taste though because they can give such extremes, however, they do have such a large range of sounds you can also dial in subtle sounds as well. The Oxide is probably an exception to this since it is an all out fuzz pedal that can not be brought down into a very usable tone.

That pedal board is producing some amazing synth tones... very fat and analog flavors. Not digital sounding at all. Amazing fun. :hyper:

Just swapped out my M87 for a Compressore and dropped off an Soundblox 2 MWBD and an Aguilar Octamizer and added a Zoom MS-60B.

Only spent about an hour with the Zoom, but I think it will cover a lot of "it'd be nice to have X for that one tune" territory for me.
