Pedaltrain MINIs United Again!

Prince, Les Paul, Robert Smith, Dave Navvaro, for example, all use all Boss boards. why? because they work well and work well together.
there's what the pros use, and there's pure 100% BS by the truckload. people can believe what they want.

This was just my opinion, not fact. As stated in my post. You also said it best, people can believe what they want. No need to get bent out of shape. Or am I reading your post the wrong way?....

yeah sorry, that wasn't aimed at you at all other than the all Boss board comment.
I was making a statement in general, apologies for the confusion.
I'm not getting bent out of shape, just calling out those (not you) that perpetuate negative concepts and try to shift peoples opinions based on basically a bunch of internet BS.

Hmm ... if I'm not mistaken they are all guitar players, so maybe not the best examples. ;)

Anyway, just trust your ears. If a certain pedal brand works for you, go ahead and use it and don't worry about what others think. Simple.

I'm cool with that and if people want to choose a certain brand, others shouldn't worry about it and keep their negative opinions to themselves.

Sorry, it doesn't work that way. Good luck forbidding people to post about their experience of products.

As to not posting negative opinions - wouldn't it actually be a huge disservice to people looking for info on what to buy if you were only allowed to post glowing reviews? Personally I prefer getting all sides of a story and then weigh pros and cons. You have your opinion, others have a different opinion, I want to hear both and then decide for myself who and what to believe. I in particular want to hear about any negative aspects of a product so I don't have to find out too late that I made a wrong choice.

EDIT: Apologies for going OT, I'll stop here. Let's get back to showing pedal boards ...

Cool. I know what you mean though. There are some who are constantly bash pedals but IMO there aren't THAT many who constantly bash. Most on TB, I feel anyway, give good info/feedback/opinions. There's only a handful that spoil it sometimes. The boss pedals I do own and use, I love. I've thought about replacing them before, but why mess with a good thing. Oh, and yeah, there's a lot of that bs on the Internet. But again, everyone has opinions.

this whole discussion does remind me that I'd like to A/B my sound going bass to amp against the signal through my small board, which has 5 pedals, 2 of which are BOSS buffers, 2 are true bypass and one is a buffered MXR.

Another pro with a lot of BOSS pedals (4 or 5) on his board is Juan Alderete... I'm curious as to signal routing with a lot of these pro's who have big boards (Juan and Justin C) - do they split their signal before their boards so as to have unaffected clean signals going to PA and amps, and effected signals to other amps, so as to off-set any signal degradation from their big pedal setups??

Part of it is that some folks simply are not worried about signal degradation or consider it to "come with the territory" -- although this seems more common in guitarists rather than bassists.

I, on the other hand, recently pulled an old Marshall distortion pedal off my board because I discovered that I could detect an audible difference in my un-effected tone when it was in the chain. I don't usually care much about whether a pedal is buffered or not, but it appears to have made a difference in this occasion (it was the only buffered pedal on my board).

I can tell you one thing, I normally don't worry about signal chain noise but not that I have my old DOD digital delay in a loop with all my modulation and time effects, a flanger, zoom 70cdr, EQD hummingbird, TC vortex and a hardwire DL8, I def notice noise and or slight degradation from the DOD. It hums like a mofo. I'm just glad it's in a loop so it's not on all the time. Quite honestly though, live, you don't hear a difference at all.

I changed the position of my Tremolo, but this is the board as of recent. VERY HAPPY with it. I can get some straight up stanky Bootsy sounds to Dubstep and a lot in between.

Hello fellow TB'ers, thank you all for posting your killer minis, had a great time seeing the different combinations and array of pedals.

Bellow is my current set-up of the mini. I can't laud enough the Wonderlove/Octron combo... Just looking at it makes me feel that much funkier.
