Interesting... I'll have to take another look, I didn't even know that the MB had an octave effect.

Ebelow, I've toyed with adding the M9 to my arsenal. I recently played a cruise ship gig and Scott Ambush (Spyro Gyra) was filling in for the other band on our charter (Pieces of a Dream) and he was using the M9. Sounded really good. Any personal thoughts on the filters and octavers in that box?

I can't say much about the filters because not using them at all and never used one, but the bass octaver just nails it! I also like the analog chorus the scrypt phaser, wamp compressor, tube drive, awesome little unit, makes life even easier.

Actually just happened today I tried out how is the difference between DSP and true BP trough headphones setup (Avalon U5) only difference I have noticed the little click noise when some string still ringing and stomped in true BP mode as a regular true BP pedal should. No volume drop, at least did not noticed at all. Lots of times rehearsals going trough headphones so maybe I just leave in DSP mode for more noiseless operation. :)

Never noticed a volume drop or something. Since I don't have that many pedals in the chain, I let it on DSP Bypass. Works charming.

For the footprint, there isn't a more versatile thing than the M9. Just make sure you have a expression pedal, this is what makes this pedal shine! Pitch-Shift (Whammy) into the Particle Verb and then into a tremolo, with the trem and the pitch shift both controlled by the Ex.Pedal... from now on, you will be responsible for the scary intermissions between songs.

So goddam nice!

Mine! Just moved up from a Nano. Got a good trade on an M5, and just wouldn't fit on the smaller board. Use the M5 for Octaver, chorus, tuner, comp (sometimes) and gate. Mooer Green Mile and Sweeper cover my dirt and filter through the Road Rage loop. ImageUploadedByTalkBass1361058832.264562.jpg

my mini should be in by thursday so ill be contributing soon! took me long enough to find one used at a good price...now I just need to sell my wah and grab a phat phuk and Ill be set! We'll see how I like the pickle pie b thats incoming on my 2nd time around with it. Liked it before but got a tube amp now, maybe Ill like it more. If not it will be going in favor of some other destructive fuzz.

lol my mini arrived. It had the hard side velcro on it, not the soft, all of my pedals have the hard side, and theres no velcro left. Time to go get some goo gone and some velcro.

Edit: and here she is! Need to get some flat/pancake style cables so I can get another pedal or two on there.

Another post from PYPB, I didn't know this thread existed! Some very inspiring stuff here guys, the amount some of you cram on is insane! I finally see the use of those TC Electronic mini tuners now, too.

My girlfriend got me a PedalTrain Mini for Christmas the year before last as she was sick of carrying my PT2 in the flight case into gigs for me, haha! I love it though, would never go back now. It's made me really think about what I want on my board and stripped my playing back to basics, a good thing in my book. I've actually sold all of my 'effect' type pedals since, though I may build some back up again at some point and maybe build a second Mini for fun stuff at home. Who knows?!

I'm also wondering how you like the MXR Bass Fuzz and the Polytune Mini. Do you have any plans for the space above the tuner? Also, how much noise does the switch make on the Polytune? I've been thinking about getting one, but I usually take the opportunity to tune when it's quiet on stage, so I need a switch that doesn't make noise. That's why I like my current Boss TU-2/3.

Nice setup man! All great sounding pedals, I really miss the Pork Loin. It's just so hard fitting all the good pedals on a mini!

My Pork Loin sat in a cupboard for about a year and a half, tried to sell it a few times but luckily no one bought it. Thought I'd give it a another try about a month ago and instantly fell in love with it! I don't know how I didn't love the thing originally now!

I really enjoyed it. Actually just mailed it to someone across the country as im not using wah much right now, but I already regret selling it (and i claimed dibs on it again if he doesnt like it lol.....). I did a full write up if you want to check it out, blows the chiwahwah out of the water imo, but it really is a wet wah. Original signal isnt there as much as with the 105q. Having a smaller throw range felt a little uncomfortable for me at first cause it goes from pure bass, past the midrange pretty quickly, but once you get the hang of it and adjust the treadle set screw to increase or decrease movement speed it rocks. with some distortion after it, gold. For some funk? quality. For just a pure rock, wah sound, id prefer a little more of the straight signal to be honest, but all of the other attributes still make it a more worth while piece of equipment than the 105q or chiwahwah imo. ymmv, etc etc.

Tuner > Boss C3 (modded for bass) > Malekko B:assmaster > Malekko 616 Delay

I want to replace the Boss for an Aguilar TLC and maybe add another fuzz. I'm probably removing the delay since I practically don't use it, but I don't want to get rid of it.
