ok-
ive got my G&L on the way so id like to start learning more about how a bass is put together ect - im gonna refinish my old squier p myself(with the help of my brother who does wood finishes and such for a living) im gonna test it first on a fender starcaster
here are my questions:
-do i need to completely remove all electronics? if so how do i go about doing this?
-can i paint the bridge? i want to put a base coat on it so it wont stand out so much- will this affect the sound? is ther anywhere i can buy a black bridge?
-where can i buy new volume nobs that arent chrome?
-how should i store the neck while disassembled?
-what type of pain should be used? i heard nitro is illegal in california is that true?
i think thats about it for now
thanks for your help
