"personalizing" a bass

So what happens after you've done 10,000 or what ever gigs? There will be nothing left of your bass!! i have 2 say mines got some chips and marks and stuff but all was accidental.

Well, if I got a American 1000 US, of course I wouldn't carve into it, but I mean my first fender? HAHAHAHAHA

Gotta make that thing mine.

If I play enough shows to make the carves go all the way around the bass, I guess it's gonna retire to studio bass
