I'd almost rather side jacks with power on top. My right-angle power jacks stick out farther than the 1/4'' jacks do.

This is probably a good compromise though... it might even convince me to get a tuner pedal.

Me too, I know real estate is all about location, but real estate is still real estate, and space on a board has to be managed regardless of whether jacks are too or side mounted. I just wish the industry would be consistent.

The kind of change you're looking for will only happen if BOSS does it. It happened with 9v barrel connectors and it can happen again.

Petersons are great tuners, I own a couple of different models and swear by them. If you run your pickups close, the reduced string tension could cause intonation issues from magnetic pull. Petersons are great tuners, I own a couple of different models and swear by them.

Same here. And pretty often I gig or rehearse with nothing but a tuner and a passive DI, so I still like being able to use a battery, rather than having to run power to one 'lil pedal.
Does look cool tho!

That’s awesome. I’m using the bigger one turned sideways. I definitely prefer side jacks. All the pedals I have with top jacks are kind of annoying to deal with. If my tuner had top jacks, they would be protruding past the very top or the right side of my board. MXR does it right.

You won't regret the HD. It's my favourite tuner, and the huge display makes it really easy to use in direct sunlight at a gig. Built like a tank. sensitive. accurate. If I needed another tuner I'd replace it with the same thing. When you're gigging this summer, you'll know what I'm talking about ! Smaller isn't "always" better...

Yeah, I'll likely keep it, as it does kinda rule, and any option for switching to the Mini now would land me a Mini that cost me about what an HD does.
