I don't know if somebody had mentioned this before in this thread, but i would suggest..more solid or trans colors, matching head stock, more block inlays, fender jag model, black hardwear....MM pickup maybe..??

My first bass (in 1992ish) was a Black squier P Bass with a maple fretboard. I wish Squier would make maple fretboards more available on their products.

+1001 - but with the cloverleaf tuners AND a pickguard. no compact tuners BS, and no Squier II no pickguard BS either, my first bass was a Squier II P-bass, white with maple neck, one of the ones with no pickguard, MIK. That thing rocked, but I wish it had a pickguard, and I wish I still had it.
