Petition for Squier bass

I don't want to look obnoxious, but my deepest desire personally goes to the... Coronado (Coronado II, possibly)! Maybe at the beginning just one color only: a natural with the characteristic black smaller Fender headstock with oval tuners or a CAR with matching headstock. Standard 30" scale. Squier would sell a lot of them, I think.

No way Squier would touch a Coronado but we can wish

frankly speaking I don't see why!!! There are literally tons of valid examples of beautiful hollow-bodies around, starting from the cheap Eastwood (Gretsch replica) passing thru the Epi Casady, the various beautiful Ibanez, the expensive (drool, drool!) Lakland HBs, Gretsch etc.!! Now, Fender has (well locked in a closet!) a wonderful, very original, peculiar and… “bass-attractive” project that would be just too close minded (my opinion, obviously) NOT to capitalize on!!! Just make it well engineered, a good sounding axe that at the same time keeps untouched the vintage look. It would even be an easier axe to be crafted and put on the market since the bolt-on design. Maybe just add a central anti feedback block… it would be a very smart move. Squier would make them and they would sell.

I don't want to look obnoxious...

Well personally I've never liked the narrow string spacing of a short scale and I think that the one bass fender could've made neck through they made bolt on (in my mind that sets off a "FAIL!") But it doesn't mean I couldn't try it and like it. And I bet many other people would like this, I just don't think squier would touch it unless fender reissued it.

Just my 2 cents.

the bass needs to be revisited for what are the today's needs, obviously; a 18 mm (or 19) could be taken into account as a good improvement.

and I think that the one bass Fender could've made neck through they made bolt on

as long as it works, I would not care if it is BO or NT. I just say that BO is easier done for a large production bass and keeps costs down. But it is not a "must". It could be a set-neck.

But it doesn't mean I couldn't try it and like it.

See? Welcome in the club: I interpret this as "I too could be interested in this bass"!!! ;)

And I bet many other people would like this,

I don't bet: I KNOW IT! :)

I just don't think Squier would touch it unless Fender reissued it.

Unless it involves... killing someone or any other illegal thing, between Fender and Squier I think they have the rights to arrange whatever they want and frankly I do not see particular problems!!!

Now: wanna drool? Look at these:

I actually love the lightwood Squiers!

They resonate and ring like crazy, plus I can bounce them around like heck.

God the dirnt... I feel like if I slam it into something it wouls asplode. It seems like it could break in two. I wish they could find a heavier wood thats cheap. Their basswood ones don't seem bad. But I was think of getting the brown stain squier jazz but it's agathis so unless I try one out and it's fine I'm never getting one.

Keeping in mind I grew up on a (sumthin like) 17 lbs bass
