Phaser and Delay consultation

If you are thinking about saving money for a delay, check out this guy:

It sounds like you want to do trippy effects with delay, you may either want a high end delay or multiple delay units. The Timefactor is expensive but it is the holy grail of delays IMHO.

Edit: I'll put in a vote for the phase 90. I like its sound and construction much better than the EHX. The woundede Paw is a Phase 90 circuit optimized for bass with true bypass. Definately something worth cheching out.

The eventide is wayyyyyy expensive and it's damn large for any pedalboard...
Its about 250 dollars difference..

And to tell you the truth, I really don't give a f**k about digital or analog, As long as it sounds good to me, I'm happy.

The eventide is expensive, but it really does sound better than a number of other delays. With the eventide the way I look at it is 10 pedals for the price and size of about 3. If I needed delay options I'd have one, but I'm not a fan of delay on bass.

But to better help you, exactly what are you trying to do with delay. That could better help with a recommendation.

re:phasers, it depends what sound you want

I currently use neither, but here is the accepted comparison of the phase 90 versus the small stone:

phase 90 = grittier, "more organic", arguably the better choice for rock
small stone = smoother, more "hi-fi", many would say it is "funkier" but this depends upon your definition of funk hehe

of course this is merely the conventional wisdom - they are just tools and it is up to you to decide what works best for your needs.

as for myself, i like BOTH. For the price, I would get a nano stone. For more money, I'd get a maxon P-999 ('improved' phase 90). And for more options, the ehx Stereo Polyphase, which kinda falls between the p90 and small stone in terms of tone, with tons more tweakability that IMO really helps for bass.

bah im totally going ><" here
Im still confused about the delay and the phasers

There is the Source Audio, Phaser 90, and the EHX
I know Marcus miller uses the phaser 90, The question is in which song..?

Second confusion is with the delay, I dont know about the Digitech, Though it sounds awesome, Again, I want to hear it on bass, That's some big money im putting in effects, And i want to be fully satisfied
(I'm going to do kind of large order from tonefactor, 3 effects, So... yep. ;_; )

I agree with the fact you can't guarantee about the pedals, But.
I need to be navigated somehow to understand what pedal sounds how, And unfortrunately on guitar and on bass, Two different stories.

Currently my decision between phasers is
Phase 90 vs EHX SmallS vs SourceAudio vs Wounded Paw 90.

Delays (Srsly clueless)
Digitech Hardwire vs ??? (EHX- something?)

anyhow, Any more comments will be helpful, And once again, Big thanks TB for helping me.

the hardwire will give you lots of cool digital delay options at a good price. It is a good first delay, but i you really like and use delay (which you might not after a while), you will end up buying others as welll

the source 90 has a lot of options, haven't used one myself but as far as bang for your buck and a great introduction to old-school analog phase shifting, JUST BUY THE DANG NANO STONE ALREADY :p

K i'll get the delay, For phaser i'll check eBay to find some good deal
Anyhow, If i won't find anything on eBay i'll probably go for the nano small stone (No phase 90 in stock for tonefactor)

OK Done.
Finally! Thanks TB!
I'm going to order sometime the following"

Bass Big Muff
Digitech Hardwire Delay
EHX Nano small stone

:)
If i won't like the small stone i'll sell it and buy a phase 90 or a sourceaudio phaser.

Anyhow, Thanks thanks thanks thanks, Love you TB!

I like the boss phaser PH-3 and my EP-1, both have nice features and inputs for expression pedals. The boss has a step feature and ep-1 has an envelope filter.
As for delay I went with the memory man with haz. 30 second loops was the main selling point for me with tap tempo, reverse on the fly, presets, 300ms with modulation,. tons of features all for about 200.
