Phil Jones Bass : should i get a second C4 or a C2

I switched to Trickfish about 6 years ago, starting with an SM112 and then an SM110. Those stacked were on par with the C4/C8, and a LOT lighter.

I think this is useful information for those considering which way to go.

Off topic, but how do you like that combination? I've often thought it would be a perfect practice amp for getting "big amp" tone at low volume.

best tone i've ever had. and it's so great at even the lowest volume - just dial the voicing knob to the right, and voila! deep, gorgeous tone at bedroom volumes.

I played a C4 for a bit, but ditched it for a cab that was lighter and louder with more bass.
Everybody has something else in their mind when the term 'loud rock' is tossed around, but in my version of loud rock, two of the cabs that replaced the C4 were not enough - so I deduct that two C4 (which I never played) cabs would not cut it for me, either.

Thank you all for your input. Indeed my « loud rock » is probably a very moderate volume compared to many… I play an upright bass 80% of the time ! I guess I go for a second C4…
