I can help with both. In a nutshell they are both great amps. The Briefcase lacks in volume, but the clarity is untouchable. It really couldn't be used for anything but home practice,recoring or a small coffee shop type gig. The Suitcase is great in conjunction with the 4b extension cab. It's great for small to medium sized gigs. Quality is a 10 on both. Tonally they lack a little bit of warmth but makeup for it with the ability to cut through anything with the mids slightly boosted. They can handle a low b pretty well. Realistically the only complaint I would have is just not being uber-loud. If you're in a metal band this is NOT the amp for you. Jazz or funk that's a different story. Good luck

I have had a briefcase and a bass buddy and both were great products. The briefcase sounded killer!
I am personally hoping to get one of the first of the new bass cub amps..think a briefcase without the battery option..about 1/2 the size of the briefcase...with 2 channels!

I used a Brief Case for about a month and moved up to the Flight Case 150 Watts version. I traded up due to lack in volume. The tone from the brief case is actually warmer than the flight case - however it's just a case of setting up your EQ. For me the extra €200 was worth every cent. The two upward facing speakers make an excellent monitor & fill the room with excellent warm bass. The flightcase is also slightly lighter. I also have the MarkBass MiniMark, it is way louder than the brief case. Different concept, a lot lighter. You can add an extra speaker cab and increase your output from 150 watts to 250 watts or possibly higher i forget. So keep open mind. Whats your intended application?
