Spector’s ending is tragic all the way around.

i loved his work. so talented! so tortured/pathological. R.I.P.

  5. Not my favorite human. He did influence popular music in a profound way, but unfortunately that's about the only good thing I can say.

I’d like to care, but I really don’t want to.

The Ramones fans are torn today, many are trashing the man.
I can't even comment what I would like to, because of the subject-matter that is forbidden here.

Sad day. Another of many sad days recently. Legend is an understatement. All I can say is thank you.

I never actually learned to play very well
I'm a little conflicted about his "wall of sound" approach, but at the same time I can't deny it was genius. RIP Phil Spector.

    Another one taken by Covid.

When is 2020 going to end?

Phil Spector with his band The Teddy Bears in 1958 live.

Even though he was found guilty, I am pretty sure that Phil Spector had profound mental health issues. The fact is he died a criminal, but nothing changes his great vision as a producer. All around are art and inventions created by people with horrible flaws and shortcomings.
