Tough to tell like that. It sounded different when the program was synthesizing the words, but I am sure it is only a matter of time until they work on that.

Digitally, I have no idea whether you can find a difference in the waveforms. But this certainly is a rabbit hole.

Exactly. But it is no surprise really, we are already at the point where you cannot take any image or video at face value. That this is now the case with any sound/speech recording was just a very small step. The only difference is the ease which this technology imparts to the process.

I wouldnt worry so much. You can tell if a pic or video has been doctored. I should think its the same with this.
