no but I do think you have inferior reading comprehension skills. is that arrogant enough? my point was not what technique is better or who makes my bass lines inferior but to point out that fingerstyle has much more going for them than a pick does. how many different things can you do with just your hands? tapping, slapping, 2 finger style, single finger claw, complex chording and probably some classical mumbo jumbo I don't even know the name of and that one handed left handed tapping dude from Michigan. sorry I didn't pick your team...

literally all music technique can and has been quantified. you've never studied a bassists technique?

Not in terms of dexterity. You're confusing dexterity with whether the pick is better for a particular song (which of course it often is). I have a feeling this thread could run and run :)
