Prices start for an LT1 with 495 hp and 8 speed tranny at $59,995. The LT1 comes quite well equipped. That said, the LT 2 models which is super well equipped start at just below 70K. I have a 2016 C-7 LT 2 and it has more options than I actually use.60K ? I'd have thought closer to 80 or 90, I suppose if you option it up the price will end up about that anyway.

While everyone else seems to trip over themselves with overhead camshafts, multiple valves per cylinder and a mile of timing chains and tensioners, GM still gets it done with a single cam and pushrods

I'll be curious to see how much power it makes down low. 9,000+ rpm redline is nice, but how useful will that be for the street?
