I might have seen them in SoCal. Maybe they were only sold there? I could've sworn I saw one in SEPA but we do get a few California transplants here.

From the 90s it's without any doubt the Dodge Viper, specifically the GTS.

When Chrysler came out with the Viper they did not have AC. At some point Chrysler realized that some people wanted AC in theirs (probably calls, letters, etc. from customers) so they engaged Parker-Hannifin Stratoflex to create a system to retrofit into the Viper. A friend of mine is the engineer who came up with it. As he was developing the AC he told Chrysler that he needed a car to work on, so they loaned him one for a few weeks, which he had a blast driving, er, working with. :D

I have been eyeing a 71 Ranchero thats just sitting in a yard in my neighborhood, needs some sheet metal work where the rust has taken its toll but generally looks to be all there...just needs some TLC. Very tempted to ask if he wants to part with it, I suppose it would hinge on weather or not the motor and drivetrain were still in decent shape and just needing the afore mentioned body work and new paint. I use to to own a 73 Torino and that was a sweet ride.

My Ranchero looks the way I want it to look.
It's a truck and trucks shall be usable.

Under the awful exterior it's a really nice car. Absolutely rust free and barely even any dents in the bed.
I have retrofitted a 4r70w transmission with standalone controller in it and also build new exhaust for it, dual 3".
But my own stupidity ruined the engine so I'm currently rebuilding the Cleveland.

But I need to sell my 18k miles Corvette C4 to fund it, which I'll sell in spring time.

It's forgotten what poopy cars Chrysler had in the 80s, it's the modern dark ages.
Imagine in 1992 with the Viper sitting in the lot next to the poopy K cars. I never got to experience that because I'm born in 92 but I can imagine it was wild.
