Speaking of Woodies, when I was growing up there we plenty of woodies cruising the beach with surfboards attached. It was the cool thing if you had one.

Thank you, I really love my SS, as for the Tacoma, I just recently had the tires put on, they are 1 size bigger than stock P265-75R-16s. BFG T/A.I'm in the process of leveling out the front because I was getting a little rubbing on the bottom of the Fender wells on sharp turns on unlevel ground, needs to come up about 1.5 inches, the cold snowy weather put that project on the back burner for now...

And room for gear! Well, maybe... small gear...
Which reminds of of a Jaguar XJS that was collecting dust in the same garage where I arranged a place to stall my motorbike.
It was the same type/colour as the one on the picture above. The caretaker of the garage told me that the Jag was for sale. So I called in a friend of my brother that is specialized in restoring English cars. He had a good look at it and questioned the caretaker about the cars history. The car had ended up in a ditch, got pulled out and was left in the garage.
It needed spare-parts that were crazy expensive, as almost everything on Jaguars is supposed to be crazy expensive (and not worth the money, according to the mechanic).
So no buy.
But the brothers friend was thrilled by what he saw a bit further up in the garage.
A Alfa Romeo GTV Bertone series 2
That car was well worth a restoration he said, and spare parts were affordable and available.
And it didn't have the rust damage the Jag had. There was one problem, the owner had disappeared. He might be hiding somewhere in Italy the caretaker said. So it couldn't be sold.
Another Alfa that I used to see regularly was a Alfa Romeo Montreal like the one below.
It was in a showroom just around the corner where a friend used to live.
Really good looking car.

I have a friend who has that exact car. Same color, same interior. It's longer than his Suburban.
Me and my '68 MkII Ford Cortina Estate.
Photo taken something like spring of 1982, and still my favourite of all the 4 wheel vehicles I have ever owned.
@rollie 55 those wheels are MkI Lotus Cortina.
They seemed really wide at the time, but they look like washers now.
