Pick your favorite iconic car from any decade....

I responded earlier, but I had one of these for many years. It was my high school graduation present. 1958 Fiat 1200 Spyder (Transformabile). Looks just like a 1950's sports car should look. Mine was the same white, and had the same fake knock-off wheel covers.
Around 2005 I sold it to an Alfa collector, who later sold it to a collector in California. He totally renovated it for shows. This photo may be the car I once owned. If you like a car that embodies the style of 50's sports cars, this is a good example.
Dig the V-shaped hood ornament and the very cool trunk ornament above the license plate. All the brightwork on the car was stainless steel or chromed.

Exactly. I believe that's a BMW 507 (1956-1959), and the design connections are easy to see. Wonderful look. That BMW is an iconic car in its own category.

Did a few road trips with a roomie who had one. Really fun to drive on windy roads in VT and upstate NY.
Not that this car is significant to anybody else but me. My first car was a 1969 Ford Fairlane exactly like this one with the same green color that I did not like. I had a choice between a brown Ford Fairlaine 4 Door or this one.
1976/77.... last years of the 500 cube Cadillac V8. Amazing how large of an engine they stuffed in those back then. Prior to 1972, the 500 Caddy engine produced 425 ponies and 550 ft/lbs of torque.... all in by 3000 rpm. They were still powerful after the lower compression ratio hit the 72 & up models but nothing like the early ones.
I built a 71 Cad 500 for a 77 Blazer. 10 to 1 compression ratio, mild Elgin cam, ported heads, roller rockers, aftermarket intake, Mallory ignition and a reworked Q-Jet. The truck had 16" of lift, 44" Super Swampers and we got it to run low 15's in the 1/4 mile at 90+ mph with a 2.0 60' time..... for a 7000 lb truck this thing was pretty quick and we surprised the IROC Z and Mustang GT crowd with it.
My buddy has one exactly like that except it's yellow. He knows once spring comes I'll be calling him saying, "So, when are we taking the Caddy out for a drive?".
A friend of mine had one in the '80s. I remember doing a "rally" ride from Columbus to Cleveland in it, one winter!

Roger Moore drove a very nice P1800 in the TV series "The Saint." I live them. There's a black one sitting in a driveway here in Fort Collins, but I don't have a place for it.
My wife and I have owned over 46 cars over our lifetimes. That said, the Opel GT is still one of my top favorites. My very first two seat car back in the 70's was a GT. Then, in 2006, we purchased a Brand Spanking New 1973 Opel GT from a Buick-Opel dealer that had kept his last Opel GT in his inventory for 37 years. It only had 110 miles, still had the sticker price glued to the window, ($3,647) and had never been registered, so the state of California required it be sold as a brand new car. I drove it has a Sunday car for 8 years. In 2014. I was showing it at a local car show and got an unsolicited offer from a private car museum and sold it. Kind of wish I still had it.
