I agree that a lot of the cars in this thread are people's favorite cars. And that's okay as many of us enjoy seeing photos of cool cars.
That said, I posted a 2008 Tesla roaster, the very first real electric vehicle with over 200 mile range and also the speed and performance of a super car. This first Tesla model to go to market woke up other car manufactures to start their own EV designs. In 20 years or so, when the US fleet is 30 to 40 percent electric, these cars will be in museums as Iconic for starting the EV revolution. Just sayin.

Nope. Uncle Sam. 1987 to 2000 while in the Air Force,
2000 until now as a contractor for the USMC.
I thought it might be him picking up the tab.
I think they're fantastic, and I'd love to have a ride in one, but I wouldn't fancy the gas bill to keep one going.

I bet some very bad people have bought and driven around in one of those.
I also bet that lots of people have taken an inadvertent ride in the back of one, and never been seen or heard from ever again.

I noticed when I've seen them on TV that there doesn't seem to be much room in them, but they're huge.
I noticed with 60's American cars in general too, on the rare occasions that I saw them when I was a kid (I was born in 1954) that there didn't seem to be much room inside those either, and they were also huge.
But do you still like them?
I do, I think they're fantastic things.
A classic bit of design really - like the Zippo and the Huey and the Fender Precision.

My grandmother had one. She lived in North Wilkesboro, NC, and it was a big, shiny black one. I learned to mosey down the pike a piece in that wallowing hog of a car. It was not exactly fun to drive, but it was outrageously great. It was also completely unfashionable by the mid 70s when I was old enough to drive.
You seem to like Harley's though, and they make an almost hard to fathom amount of noise.
