Which Harley do you have?
Not that I know much about them, but some of my friends have them.
I've ridden two over the years, a 1200 Shovel (I think it was 1200 anyway) and a first gen Fatboy. Both in the mid to late 1980's.
I've ridden a Revtech thing quite recently.

I have a Freewheeler right now.
The early Shovelheads were 1200.
79-80 was the transition to 1340.
BTW.. some of the loudest bikes that
I have heard were sport bikes with aftermarket pipes.

They don't come close to Harleys for noise level. Nowhere near.
You must have different sportsbikes over in USA to the ones we have in Europe.

I donno...but I sure remember having fun with my (only 'cool') uncle as we tooled around NYC in his KG, with the top down!

IIRC, this is the one that didn't blow up if struck from behind.

A buddy of mine had one of these and even rebuilt the engine himself.

I use a front brake drum from one of these:

as a percussion instrument. I think it works better that way than it ever would have slowing down a Gremlin.
