Didn't know about the Vitesse, really beautiful!! Brings to mind the TR6 and the Sunbeam V8 Tiger. Small bodies, big sounds, this is intriguing.

this is my friend wilf with one of his tiger's

i took this pic in 2017 it was one of two he owned at the time sadly he sold them both this year. he has many other classic cars its something he loves

Nice! I didn't know there were RHD Tigers, I thought they were only for the US market.

i think they where built at the jensen works in west bromwich england i thought they where only for the uk market

Maybe I'm wrong, the European version was the Alpine and it was not V8. Anyway it's been too many years since I was into classic cars and most probably I don't remember well.

it was a v8 i think is was a ford engine. the tiger was a uk made car i think shelby had something to do with the design though

If I recall correctly, it was a Ford 289 V8.

A old high school friend had an Alpine back in those days; a friend in So Cal has a Tiger that he's restored, and added a bigger radiator to so it won't over heat (a common mod, I understand).

in south cal its a bit warmer than the uk so i dont know if overheating was a problem over here i prob'ly will see wilf tomorrow if i remember i will ask him

They are really beautiful. If I had the money for a classic car I would seriously consider a Facel too. I remember I was reading an article about a garage in the Netherlands that specialize in restoring them and also
saying that they are considered to be the best when it comes to Facels. These people were really passionate.
