I thought you said that because probably you knew something about the performance or even something like downdraft vs sidedraft etc.
I have heard that too, but I am almost sure it's an exaggerated statement from people that never really understood how carbs work. For sure it's not for everybody but if you own a car with Webers mounted on the motor, you either know few things about them or you have enough money to leave an expert do it for you. I am not an expert in Webers but I am in Keihin FCRs that have similar or even worse reputation. However dual quads is not a bad idea either, probably the biggest limitation would be the space under the bonnet for this type of car.
Actually, I was just riffing on the usual TB thing. I've never run Webers, although I say from experience that sidedraft SUs can make you crazy tuning. However, people of my generation who wanted dual quads on that would just cut a hole in the hood and let them stick up....maybe add a big chrome scoop.
