Pickguard color for orange bass?

White. Has to be. I have GAS'd for an orange 70's P-Bass with a white guard for a LONG time.

Mine is a Japanese reissue... I had to have it shipped from a Japanese retailer because they were not available in the US, but I really like it!

Blue pearl would look quite handsome on an orange bass. I'm disappointed more people haven't suggested it.

I would definitely do black. It would have a cool Autumny, Halloweeny look. Never, ever white on orange. But that's because I live in TN and would not want to be mistaken for a Vols fan.

I like the brown tort personally, I think it looks great with orange. One of my fav color combinations is blue and orange. A few folks have mentioned a blue guard; any one with the photo shop chops to put one together for us? I'd love to see what that would look like.

Black, and make a Halloween bass year 'round. Otherwise white pearl would look really good I think.

I have a trans orange jazz and have to split my vote between Black and 'tort...and having read what I just wrote,I've just decided to try making a 'tort inlay in a Black 'guard..

Plain orange is about as striking as butterscotch, so it's not that big a departure. Blue pearloid would make the orange appear far more lively.

My vote would be cream or aged pearl.

If it were a maple fretboard then I would go black.
