    Lava. As in the pickguard is made of lava. Better not touch it...

    I agree - it's a weird fire orange and black marble-esque blend. I think the "lava" and "70s bowling ball" comments are most accurate.

    The seller insists it's "tortoise" (like his ad states) - and refused to say or believe otherwise. Maddening.

    I like the lava idea, but I think it looks like zoomed out tort with too much red, like it was made for a 50% size bass
