Pickguards

I have a Geddy Lee Fender and want to change the pickguard to a black pearl. I have check the sites that everyone has listed in diffrant post so far. Some don't list one for the Geddy or black pearl. The ones that do say it takes up to 3-4 weeks. Does anyone know of a web site that stock them, thanks guys!

Why do you need one specificly for a Geddy?

It's just a standard J bass P/G so far as I can tell.

Am I missing something here?

There is no specific Geddy Lee pickguard that I'm aware of. A standard PG for a Fender J-bass will fit.

Check out Dazbootman on eBay. I've bough four or five PGs from him. He has good prices and the PGs fit perfectly. He sells quite a few styles and colors.

The Geddy has 11 hole were a jazz has 10 holes. Some of the holes don't line up either.

Correct. There is an additional screw on the pickguard between the pickups. I took the PG off my Geddy once and forgot to bother remembering what thay screw was actually for.:eyebrow:

Anyways, I bought a 10 pack of red pearloid standard Jazz PG's on eBay recently (I was bored and they cost me about $0.50 each including shipping:help:) and the 10 holes line up perfectly. I haven't actually swapped them out, but I am pretty sure it will fit perfectly.

As posted above, just slap the new one on and drill new holes. I can't see a Geddy being THAT collectable down the road that a few extra screw holes would make a difference in the value.
