Older Thunderbird usually have a black headstock regardless of the body color.........But not always, especially "stock" white ones.

Hey There! Yes, I live in Tacoma - have you seen the T-Bird Mike Lull is introducing at NAMM this weekend? There's a thread here somewhere about it, but yeah - Mike's the man with Thunderbirds, Fenderbirds, pretty much any bass he touches becomes the shizzle.

Yeah, Mike is the man. I've owned 3 Lulls and he did the work on my Epi T-Bird. His T-Birds look very nice! I think they will be pretty traditional in their performance (passive, volume, volume, tone). But who knows? He may produce some cool hybrid...here's to hoping. Peace

It's a PG I cut from .060 styrene and painted white, I then drew Mr. Crow ( My alcoholic idol!) on, and filled him in with inks. I airbrushed several coats of gloss lacquer over the top to protect him :)

robert43, those pictures are more proof that your Legacy is a truly awesome clone.. very nice indeed, especially with the non raised center section. That would be a very nice addition to anyone's NON-Gibson Tbird collection.

Since there are no blend pots, only on-off switches and a master cutoff switch, to me that makes your Bird look very "clean" and "non cluttered".

MAN you have just set my G.A.S in motion again, just when I thought I was done--grrr

Thanks for that here in Oz they are about same $ as a Epiphone TBird but you get get a hard case as well & about the same standard , you dont get 3 point bridge but by what I am told not missing much

Production numbers were never high for '76-'79 'Birds. tho I don't have it in front of me right now, I don't there were more than 650 made the first year and about 1000-1250 in the following years. Not as rare as 60's production, but at least somewhat affordable at this point.
