Pumpkin, lots of whipped cream, yes. Lack of whipped ice cream could work.

Some lend themselves to ice cream more than others but a well made pie is divine on it's own. A well made dutch apple is divine (plus) with vanilla bean ice cream melting on it.

it depends. i like ice cream and i like pie, but i don't necessarily like both together.

i love apple pie, but i like it by itself - no ice cream, whipped cream or cheese. on the other hand, pumpkin pie can go well with ice cream. lemon meringue pie seems like it has everything it needs. and hopefully obviously, a broccoli and cheese pie DEFINITELY needs no ice cream

When I crave sweets, I eat fruit. Sounds awful, but isn't.

Once you cut out refined sugar, it almost universally tastes terrible after some time.

I eat about a pint of ice cream before bed every night, but I can't bring myself to buy just plain ol' vanilla flavor.

However, whipped cream can jazz up almost any pie (as well as ice cream... even plain ol' vanilla )

If there was an option for only when I'm out of whipped cream or both... I would have voted
