Piezo Bridge Question

I have a 5 string Carvin Fretless (active/passive w/ two 9 volt batteries) with no piezo factory installed.

I'm wondering if there's a bridge that has the piezo saddles, preamp, and output built in with out much modification other than maybe jumping into the 18v circuit...

I realize that sound a little ugly or big on the body but, it would be nice to just drop in something with relative ease to see if a nicely installed piezo is something i want permanently w/ the option to blend the pickups and the piezo.

I'm open to suggestions for other kits too..

Sorry if this is a ******** question. I couldn't find anything in all my googling. :hiding:

I looked at those.. I like the ghost kits but they're a little intensive

To clarify, I'm wondering if a sort of all in one kit/product exists that can be mounted on the face of the guitar.. with volume control, preamp, output already in a piece of equipment. I think Roland makes something similar for synth.

I installed this Carvin kit on another bass:

I installed the graph tech bridge and preamp on that bass , changed for the Carvin pre and it sounds MUCH better IMHO

How many 1/4" outputs do you have? Just the one?

On the photo you see there is a 13 pin and a 1/4" output.
I use that bass with a V-bass but I also installed a 1/4" output wich gives me the piezo sound.

If you install the Carvin pre on your Carvin , you'll have the Mag/Piezo blend option with only one 1/4" output.

the upshot is "probably not", the preamp is always gonna be a separate unit that goes inside the control cavity, and it's always gonna be a real wiring project to install.

I know this is a late reply but.. I just bought a used Carvin XB76F and the guy is including the Ghost saddles.. can I go right into the Carvin 18v pre you listed above? or do I need the ghost pre? I like the option to have the blend control and not drill another 1/4" jack..

piezo saddles need a dedicated piezo pre or they'll sound like ass, with no low end. as long as that carvin is made for piezos, it should do fine.
